Academy Overview:
The NHS Graphic Arts Academy mission is to prepare students for employment and/or further study in digital and web publishing, graphic designing, and multimedia production.
The content includes practical experiences in computer-generated art and text, graphic design, graphic production, electronic design skills, preparation of electronic layouts and illustrations, and development of specialized skills in multimedia presentations.
The goals of the NHS Graphic Arts Academy are to prepare students to use the broad range of new technology available to designers for creative generation and presentation of projects; enable students to explore graphic design from many points of view, as well as a creative thought process requiring both inquiry and critical thinking; and provide practical student experiences in written and oral communications, problem solving, and team building.
