Academy Overview:

The Building Trades & Construction Design Academy focuses on broad, transferable skills, stresses the understanding of all aspects of the building construction industry, and demonstrates such elements of the industry as planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues. The Building Trades & Construction Design Academy utilizes the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER - http://www.nccer.org ) curriculum to prepare each student to enter into a career path within the architecture & construction career cluster and an opportunity to earn related industry certifications. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for Gold Seal/Bright Futures scholarships.
